Lardos
The beautiful and friendly village of Lardos, is situated on the sunny south east side of the island, within easy reach from Lindos Town. Lardos offers all the facilities you would expect of a modern holiday destination. There is a doctors’ surgery, dentist, pharmacy, hairdresser, exchange facilities, international telephone network, news agent, car, motorbike, and bicycle hire.
Lardos village
The village of Lardos is just a 2 minute walk away from your doorstep and offers every facility you will need to complete your holiday. Village life in Lardos revolves around ‘The Square’ (the centre of the village). It is surrounded by many bars, restaurants, cafes’s, shops & supermarkets. There is also a local butchers, bakery, pharmacy, doctors and a bank.
Activities
There is a travel agents where you will find information on car hire, local trips and currency exchange. There is even an internet café should you wish it, plus a 24 hour taxi rank and regular bus services, you couldn’t want for anymore.
On the outskirts of the village there is a mini golf course and go-carting available.
Coast/Beach
A lovely walk to Lardos’s sandy beach will take you approximately 20-25 minutes (2km) or 2 minutes by car. You may also wish to visit the golden sandy beaches of Lindos and Pefkos. Both easily accessible via the reliable bus/taxi services from Lardos or only 5 minutes by car. The Island also offers many other stunningly attractive private beaches to visit.
Beyond Lardos
The neighbouring towns of Lindos and Pefkos are both within 5km should you wish to venture beyond Lardos. Both offer a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. Lindos is renowned for being a main tourist attraction with its cobbled streets and roof top terrace restaurants, which offer a fantastic view of the famous Acropolis. Lindos also has the beautiful St Pauls bay and its little church where many wedding ceremonies are still regularly held. On route to Lindos you will also pass the well known ‘Guns of Naveroune’ cliffs.
Rhodes
The Island of Rhodes offers great days out with all its many attractions only a short distance away. Choose from visiting the main town of the island with its vast shopping facilities or Rhodes Old town and its stunning harbour. Also you may wish to visit the Water-parks or the 18 hole golf course situated only half hour away.
Transfers
Rhodes town airport is approximately a 40 minute drive away from the Villa. Car hire can be arranged at the airport from the many stalls there offering reasonable hire rates, however please note that these are not open 24 hours. There is however a taxi rank directly outside the airport should you not wish to drive yourself, where taxi’s are plentiful 24 hours.
